“When I was 11 years
old and watched Elvis wow them at the
Providence
Civic Center,
I couldn’t have known that years later I’d be playing his records on
the radio across the
United States
(and now around the world.) Elvis’ voice, his charisma and his
style made such an impression on me. Now I get a thrill when I hear
from listeners from seven to seventy that are just being turned on
to him.” -Jay Gordon quoted in
the liner notes to RCA’s Elvis Presley – Artist of the Century
